Just short runs on my new trans and Im getting near 1300 deg. on my attitude.
What is NOW considered safe max temp for a 1/4 mi run? I want to stack w/a tuner but it seems this things getting kinda warm?
My sender is in the pass exh manifold pre turbo.

1300 is pretty good for the 1/4. Seems normal.

Wow, I don't know why parts arent warping at that temp Ryan. I know aluminum dissipates heat easier but isn't the melting point at 1280* for aluminum. What is the usual running temp for an LLY with 5" exhaust and some power? Just checking.

I see 1800 every 1/4 mile blast. IMHO, it's all about time. 1280 is certainly enough to melt aluminum, but it takes a few hours at that temp to do so.

1600+ F by the 1/8 mile, and for the duration of the run with stock exhaust and muffler with HJAT only.

You should see what a load cell dyno does with EGT's

Are any of those temps really good for it at any time?
