I see 1800 every 1/4 mile blast. IMHO, it's all about time. 1280 is certainly enough to melt aluminum, but it takes a few hours at that temp to do so. Forced Induction 04-01-2005, 02:39 PM 1600+ F by the 1/8 mile, and for the duration of the run with stock exhaust and muffler with HJAT only.
