ok guys, i just put my predator on last week. Not sure if that has anything to do with my new noise...but... I now have a screeching sound at about 2000 RPM and above on acceleration. sounds like a belt squeeling sort of. I can't hear it with the window open. Today it sounded like it was coming from under the dash, turned off the radio and then it sounded like it was coming thru the speaker. I originally thought it was coming from the turbo (like turbo bark) but i read all the threds on turbo bark. I dont think its that.
any suggestions?:help:

Are you sure it's comming out the speaker or does the sound come from under the hood? Have you just sat in Park and reved it up to get the noise or is it just while it's moving? There were some threads on the belt tensioner going bad. Otherwise someone else may have a better idea.

lakingslayer,
Not sure if its coming from the speaker or not.
I couldn't hear it do the noise while just revving in park.
At first I thought it was under the hood, but now am thinking it might be under the dash?? When I left work yesterday in the parking garage, i could actually hear it at around 1500 RPM in first gear, that was when I turned off the radio to see if I could pinpoint the sound. No luck yet.
I will look into the belt tensioner idea tho, 18,000 miles. thanks for the idea.

Update,
i did a brake stand to take the rpm's up to get it to make the noise. Sounds like it is a turbo related whistle.
If the blocker plate was loose, would it make a whistle squeele noise? going to check that today when it stops raining

Final update,
the last time i went to the dealer for warranty work, I removed the EGR Blocker Plate, when I put it back in, it must have been crooked or loostened up after install.
I removed and reinstalled today and all is better.
NO MORE NOISE!
thanks to Lakingslayer for being there to help.
