So my hvac settings 1 + 2 haven't been working for about a week..after searching on here, i came to the conclusion that its probably the resistor. today, i orderd the blower motor resistor, and a new wiring harness for it. I'm not sure if its melted or not, i jsut figured if i'm down there might as well change it out so it doesn't happen again. paid $72 for everything from electrical connection online. my questions is this. how do you replace the wiring harness? is changing out the wiring harness as simple as cutting the old one off, and splicing the new one onto the cut wires with solder and heat shrink??
