Ok, dumb@$$ question here:

I forgot to add my additive with the last tank of fuel I put in. And it got mighty cold here last night. Tried to start my truck this morning and she wouldn't go. I suspect that my fuel gelled. Will it degell as it gets warmer? I didn't have time to actually check, so I don't know for sure if it's the case, but I suspect it is.

Thanks.

If it is gelled a product called Diesel 911 usually fixes that problem, we use it on tractor trailers up here when they are stuck on the road

Most gel problems occur in the filter housing, pour some 911 additive in the too in addition to the tank. Also check that your fuel manager heater is working.

My understanding is that yes, it will un-gell as it gets warmer, but 35 F won't do it, you need to get it inside. That's why the 911 is used, it thins out the fuel in the filter and somewhat in the tank, once you get started and fuel is circulating your return line will ungell the rest of the tank.

If you had additive in the tank before I'd be surprised if you gelled up after one cold day. Is it turning over strong?
