OK got the new wheel and harness in this afternoon. It took me about and hour and a half but I had to deal with my remote start. Anyway I have only one problem and thats the botton switch that goes on top of the key cylinder. This is what makes the door chim work. How in the he!! do you get the old one out and the new one in?

I think you have to disconnect the batteries.

Then hold the key to start position. Press in the little metal spring loaded pin on the top. The ignition switch then will pull out.

Then you should be able to figure out how to get it out.

Success! I pulled the lock cylinder but you don't have to. All that needs to be done is depress the tab on the switch and gie the whole thing a quart turn. It pops right out. It took me all of 5 minutes to wrap this up this morning. Sometimes you have to walk away from things for awhile so you can see the big picture. Now all I need is the DIC and radio controls turned on.

I agree, walking aways is quite often the answer. Sorry for pointing you in the wrong direction. I tried to look it up in SI but couldn't find it.

Harness was $201 and the wheel was $75 from the junk yard. The wheel looked brand new. Now all I have to do is pay Eric when I go up his way in a week or so to turn everything on.

Greg, did you happen to take any pictures of the harness?

I was in the dash of mine the other day installing Max's keyless idle mod, but I cant seem to find the harness that would go to the radio and DIC. I'm wondering if my truck has them or not
