If you are equipped with the trailer package, there is a plug under the dash on the left side. Most of the controller manufacturers can supply the adapter harness that will plug in and connect to the controller wires.

What does the plug look like? I already have the controller and would like to be able to wire it in without buying anything else. thanks

If I remember correctly, it is a 4 or 5 wire harness with a square plug on the end. It has the same number of wires as the controller and should be tied up to the main harness somewhere in front of the fuse panel. I believe the adapter harness is around $10.00. You can find them at most places that sell trailers and equipment or online.

look for the black plastic cover up in the left upper corner near the pedals, and its one of the open plugs in there, only one will fit.

Most people that I know with these trucks came with the plug. Most times in the glove box. I bought My 03 truck a year old and it was still in there when I had to instal mine. then it's usally just matching colors to what ever brake control you buy. Then all you have to do is adjust it correctly.
