Mine's pretty smooth but it has idled rough a few times. At the same time it usually has smoked blue with a strong smell of unburned fuel. I suspect an injector is hung open a bit, causing a dribble of fuel throughout the stroke. Shutting off and restarting the truck cures the problem. Of course it is not near consistent enought to get it to the dealer for a checkup.

i talked to my dealer about that and they said all you need is a reprogram of the ECM

Keep an eye on your oil presure and oil level. Mine started to vibrate bad when it was dumping fuel into the crankcase. Dump some coins in the cup holders, do they rattle? Mine did.

THREE TIMES mine has started a severe shake at idle after startup (warm start or cold start). For 3 weeks, I road around with one of those data recorders in my front seat in order for the dealer to get the data stream.

Anyway, when it does it, the slightest touch on the accel pedal will cause the idle to smoothe out. The touch is so light the idle speed does not change.....

We (dealer and I) have found a quick cure on my truck. It seems I can put the truck in first gear (ZF Tranny), hold the brake and slowly release the clutch. The truck senses the additional idle load and starts adding fuel. After a few seconds at this 'idle load', I re-engage the clutch and the idle is back to perfect...

Like I said, we have captured the data stream when the truck is doing the shakes and I now know how to cure it....

BTW, when it does it, my son calls it a 'Most Excellent Butt Massager'
