Exactly what the title says, but I would like to be able to run it through the passenger side because thats where my Optima battery is.

In side the cab wherever you want just get the drill.

I used the drivers side battery, I'm not sure that it really matters but I was assuming the passenger battery takes more of a drain during starting. Either way get a good terminal post that has a second bolt to tighten the amp cable (I used 4 ga wire) to the battery, any stereo shop should have these for either battery. Within 12" inches or so put the appropriate fuse for the amp size. (mine's a 100 amp). With 4 gauge wire you will need to drill a 5/8 inch hole in the firewall and make sure to put a grommet in before putting the wire through or your wire won't last long. From there I took out the front seat, folded the carpet over and ran the wire down the middle of the cab along the torque tube to under the back seat where my capacitor and amp are. You can also run it under the carpet between the door and the seat by removing the sill plate and tucking the wire under the carpet. I don't like doing that way because with the huge wire I used left a lump in the carpet you could see. I would advise against running it outside of the cab if possible, I think that eventually you would run into wear and tear problems.

On the driver and passenger side under the door sills there are black plastic clips that work great for running the power wire through them.............ill get some pics when the wifey gets home with the truck.....

Awesome, I was wondering that myself. I'll have to wire everything up when I put my sub and amp in the Dmax.

ive done a lot of stereo installs in these trucks anything from just the cd player to 5000.00 systems, anybody has any ? let me know. The best place to run it is on the opposite side of signal cables, never run power and signal together it causes static. Like Norcal said, in the door sills is the best place.

What are you talkig about by signal? I have my amp under my drivers seat and wires running under carpet to dash and such then the wire to the sub right behind me on the floor. A few wires running along the door sill.

Z71 all i mean is try to keep the RCA Cables as far away from power wires as possible, this includes power seat wires and such. Obviously, when you get to the amp they will be kind of close together because of the terminals on the amp.

Oh O.K. I'm going to get an under seat box for my Dmax too because the box I have know is just an anlged truck box that goes behind a seat laying on the floor behind the drivers seat.

I have a complete Rockford Fosgate system incuding 2 12" subs,a set of 5 1/4 components, a seperate amp for each, rockford deck and an EQ. All the wiring is also Rockford brand . This setup KICKS. I had it in my F350, I have yet to install it in my Dmax. I also would recommend not running the RCA's next to the power cable. :cool_shad

A good place to hook your power up is the fuse box under the hood. If you take the entire plastic housing off, there is a terminal with constant power one the left side. This terminal is meant for additional acc. There is even a factory fuse for it, it is one of the big suckers in the same fuse box.
