When I traded for my 08 I asked where the winter cover was, and my salesman told me it was an option, and I didnt pursue it any further. Those of you with 08's and winter covers did they come with the truck or did I get a line of BS. One came with my 05 LLY.

I had to buy mine after the sale from the dealer. I bought in PA but my truck was shipped in from MD. I've read here that certain states include the cover with the truck while "warmer" states do not.

Mine came with a winter cover. When the dealer orders the trucks they can get that as an option. Most dealers that have a brain and are located in areas where it gets cold order it with the truck.

Mine came with a winter cover as well, but it was an option. ;)

Winter cover is an option. As stated, cold weather dealers usually order the winter cover when they order their inventory.

Exactly - Bought mine in cold weather country and I paid for the cover option even though I live in wet Seattle. If the "mercury" does not hit zero in your neck of the woods either - you do not need the cover per the manual.

GM says it can be used at temps under 40 degrees.... I put it on when it hits the 30's.
I'm in Iowa and it dips to zero once in awhile, but not to often. Thanks for the info.

As stated above, it may have been intended to go somewhere else. Or your dealer is just a cheap mofo.

Oh the customer pays for the winter front option...... And the stealership makes a profit. Why do you think it was automatically included even though I did not want or need it. They also tint the front side windows to match the rest of the truck and tack it on where I bought - to every truck they stock.

I got mine from the dealer after I bought the truck made them pay for it - like mentioned above it says below 40 it should be used so I asked the dealer why the truck did not have a required piece of equipment to operate and he agreed and ordered the cover - WV

-28f Early this last week. Still haven't gotten mine on yet.
According to Edmunds, the winter cover is "Automatically included on orders with "Ship To" locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Alaska, Idaho, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Michigan, Colorado and New York." I'm in PA and got one off eBay.
