Ha, Ha, made you look!
But seriously TD, i took this image from your website because i noticed the same goober in it as i had in mine. I ground mine flat where the arrow is in the picture, do you think it is a worth while thing to do.

I hadn't bothered to look since the General was supposed to build it goober free, as you can see from other goobers on my site in vendor supplied "new" IC tubes, goobers and turbines don't mix, even "soft" aluminum ones, guess what I'm doing this weekend.

I don't think that goober will go anywhere, its part of the casting, i just thought it a good idea to get rid of mine, I think all of them have that now that I looked at yours more closely.
I hope you removed that ratchet from under where your upper plenim was too...lol (in that pic on your site)

Did a repair job on a Navy ship turbine once and found an intact 1/4 drive ratchet and 5/16 socket been laying on the engine front frame strut, inches away from the compressor blades, for almost 2 years, Navy denied leaving it there until I turned it over and the shop ID code was seen etched on the ratchet.
Shop code 31T is the code for any Navy gas turbine repair shop. OOPs, good thing it didn't get sucked in they would have fingerprinted everybody to find out where it came from., would have been He** to pay.

I worked at Mack years ago doing injection pump repair and was doing some warranty injection pump repair for another Mack dealer. The complaint was running away. We asked them if they had been tampering with the pump and they said "no" as that would void the truck warranty. We told them we had found a wrench in the truck and the wrench had the mechanics initials engraved on it. They said they had a mechanic with those initials. We then voided their warranty. The wrench had been dropped in the Governor and they had cleverly resealed it inside. Governor was wiped out.
