i was messin around on the highway the other day with my brother in his truck and went to fly by him but my truck died at 100 but my ppe is set at 120......i did some investigationg with the tuner i had the rpm increased but it was set on de-fuel...would that be the culprit? and would that also be the reason why on level 6 on a dyno i could only muster up 441hp?

The defuel setting is only on shifts, its easyer on your trans if it defuels on shifts. As far as "only" 441hp, thats a damn fine number for a tuner... 457rwhp is the most I have ever seen on a off the shelf tuner truck with supporting mods. This was on our eddy current unit, there may be some higher numbers out there compliments of a bullshit inertia dyno.

I had the same problem after i sent the programmer to get the hot+2e/t from it being a standard. Got it back but shortly found out it did not pass 99mph even though it was set to 200mph. I ended having to send it back to ppe and they said they needed to update it..... The funny thing is that it worked fine before with the standard program.

Ill put it to you like this. You were definitly on a eddy current dyno, cause your #'s are very real on that setting. The truck that put down 472 must of had a few more goodies or a just have been a freak.

The ones your seeing 500hp #'s on the west coast are most definitly being run on inertia dyno's, they dont properly load the truck and dont compensate for actual weight and give out #'s that are normally 10-12% higher then what they should be.

The power your truck is putting down is just fine.. Have you made any mods to your fuel system? If not, that is probably the only thing holding your truck back with that tune, well that and your stock transmission! To be honest im suprized your trans is still alive!!!

I do not see how u can set your limiter at 120, My hot 2ET only goes from 45-99 then straight to 200. Not sure, just wondering how u set it to 120 if it is the hot 2ET your sig. states. Also curious why the hell you bought my stealth 2 if you have the ppe? I see you know which is better.

I see you know which is better.i have the most recent updated version.....my ol lady wanted a tuner for her truck and i hada send my ppe out to be updated to work in a 2008...so i ran the quad till i got the ppe back and now the quad is in my ol ladys 06 1500 5.3

I had the same problem with mine, i tuned mine with efi live to 115mph and it died at 99 on the highway today, my older tune i set it to 115mph and it would do it!
