I have just added the Racor supplementary fuel fiter from the 'lubrication specialist' to my new and first diesel (2 months and loving it). The installation of the filter itself went extremely well. The kit I purchased also has a 'water in fuel' sensor. I have a few concerns however when connecting the wiring harness to the fuse block.
How fragile are the fuse panels when trying to get to the underside of the fuse block?
Is there any chance of causing a short by leaving the system live?
How much of a problem would be caused by disconnecting the battery first?
If anyone has added this kit, I would really appreciate your thoughts and comments.
Thanks very much.
