You'll wanna pull that A-pillar off first. It pops straight out at the top (be easy with it) and pops straight UP at the bottom, by the windshield. Then check the power and ground wires and follow them to wherever they terminate. The power will probably be run to the driver's side fuse panel on the side of the dash. The wires will probably drop straight down out of the A-pillar to the fuse panel - very easy to follow them. Once you've found all your connections, check them. Then if they all look good, get out your 12v circuit tester and test your power supply.
But my guess would be that whoever put them in just didn't hook up the lighting to them. In that case, do a search for "BMDMAX's guide to gauge hotness" and check out his power connections as a guide. Hope this helps.

There is an illumination wire (unused) on the brake contoller harness plug (it's the brown one).

thanks i'll look in to that. I think the a-pillars have tweeters in them. they look like tweeters. does everything still come apart the same. everything seems to turn to s**t when ever im involved. i don't wanna mess this up. Thanks again.

if they are not wired in, use the dark brown with white tracer behind the light switch. that way, you can dim them the same as the factory interior lighting.
