I went to the local NAPA store to get an aftermarket battery for my 08 since mine is dead already and its a two week wait to get into the dealer. Apparently its an oddball size and they don't have one. Has anybody else had this problem? Do you have a part number?

sounds to me like you need to try another auto parts store............nothing special about them.

the batteries are a recessed top post, but i have put a regular top post in one. Just put it on the passenger side and it works ok.

Go to the parts counter and have them warranty it..... no need to go thru the service department for it....

I thought the LMM's had some wierd setup where the positive and negative posts were on the opposite sides as normal batteries?

Still not a big deal just about every battery is available with reversed terminals

I would seriously look at an Optima - Looks like maybe the 34R would be the ticket......... Of course you want to replace batteries in pairs.........

Where is your dealer at? Have tried that here several times at several dealers they refuse to warrenty unless they do the work.

Just spent 4 weeks trying to get a alternator replaced took 3 trips to dealer. they refused to let me do it under warrenty. 30 min job tops and it took a month going thru dealer.

Got fed up and said the hell will warrenty started modding the truck will do my own work for now on.

Sorry to rant but can't stand dealerships

With an alt. I can understand but a battery is warrant able over the counter just like the tires it is covered under a different warranty not your bumper to bumper / power train warranty
