Hey everyone. I am planning on doing one of these navigation units in my truck. I need to know besides the unit it self what I will need? My truck does not have Bose. IT has OnStar and XM Radio. I dont think I will continue the XM after my three month trial. Please help I am confused when it comes to electrical stuff. Ohh yeah also I want to retain my factory steering controls.

Anyone got any pics of there completed system yet?

I found the 900bt for $519 this is why I am going with this unit.

Read up about it here, especially software upgrades (already). www.avic411.com (http://www.avic411.com) . Take note of the "long" boot up times, irritating icon overlays on the map, manual termination of the route once "end" is reached, etc...

Don't misunderstand me, I've got 2 on my "fleet" shopping list, but i'm still really hesitant, especially after the Bluefusion fiasco. Product of the Year:rolleyes:.

you need the pac adapter for steering wheel controls and a onstar wiring harness for a gm vehicle unless you dont care about the onstar. and for your xm it wont work with the oem xm you will need a aftermartek unit that has pioneer control capabilites and the attena adapter for your the aftermarket xm tuner to work with your oem one. of course you will need the attena adapter and gm installation kit but most places throw this in free or walmart is down the road.

sounds like a lot but is really about 100 bucks more

"PAC-SWI-???" is the P/N for to use the factory steering wheel buttons. PAC is Pacific Accessory Corporation.... http://www.pac-audio.com/swixprogramming/swixprogramming.asp
