The one that looks like it came from the 80's era. Ranging from 80 something - 1996. Reason I was asking cause I need to haul a 275 container full of liquid in my van. Definately pushing the limits of a 3/4 ton van. I know thats the manufacturers suggested max weight but we've all over loaded a vehicle before so I'd figure I'd ask. This one time I saw some mexican in a Toyota Tacoma carrying soo freaking much sand he had to of permanently bent leaf springs tilting 35* - 50* angle. I want'd to follow to laugh when his axle breaks, sand floods out, and causes a multi car accident. But I had my kid in the car and couldn't.

The most I have carried in my 02' 3/4 ton was 4000lbs while towing an additional 8000lbs. It sat low but i was surprised that it was still stable. It was a few years ago when Florida was hit by all those hurricanes and I needed get roofing shingles down to my dads.

What kind of liquid? 275 gallons of water plus the weight of the container will be close to 2400lbs. My 15 pass 3500 weighs just over 6000lbs empty, so 2400lbs more would be legal. If you are hauling fuel oil, the weight is probably around 2100lbs. Still OK. If you have a 3/4 ton you may be over weight with either liquid. But not by much. I think your local law enforcement or DOT people would be more upset with the vehicle weight than the vehicle would be. Just go slow in the corners, that much liquid sloshing around can cause some strange and unexpected vehicle movements. I've moved fuel oil in a 275 gallon IBC on my dually flat bed this winter, It is an OLD gas 350, it felt the weight on the hills, but it wasn't too scary to drive. I don't think i'd want to be in that van, though, if you are moving gasoline or alcohol. Or even near you on the highway. Be careful.

I worked at a local delivery company a while back, driving that body style chevy van around metro detroit. We used to load those 3500's full of auto parts in totes. Front to back top to bottom. Nobody ever weighed the parts or vans tho.

And X2 on the oil/gas/flammables in the van. You dont want to get stopped for anything with 275 gallons of placardable liquid.
