whats in the tank?? is it all rusted?

if no rust id probrably use gas or mineral spirits.

If its rusted id probrably buy a new one. Jc whitney has plastic tanks now.

I found a steel replacement for $75 shipped on ebay.

You can get rust off of it buy putting it in a tub of water, add some baking soda, and hook up a 2 amp battery charger, + side on a steel electrode, - side to the tank. That actually works for any metal object, and most guys use rubber maid totes. The item has to be completely submerged though.

add in some bio-D. let it rest one day or two and flush it. if what goes out is crappy repete the operation a second time.

100% natural
