I was going to do that ,but there wasn't all that much stability there.

Where did you get the plug cover from? Also did you happen to write up any instructions for doing this?

Thanks
Brad

The plug came from Bass Pro Shop or any Marine Shop the plug and cover comes as one unit it's about $13 bucks, This is a very simple Job.

1. Find the plug, route it toward the Bumper. I Zip tied it to the Wire for the fog lamp.
2. Drill a 1 7/8" (2"will work) hole in the Bumper, make sure you put your hand back there so there are no obstructions while drilling.
3. Cut the plug (hold it out along with the New plug with the ground plug facing down) this way you will know that the wires will be installed properly.
4. Wire the New plug and secure it to the Bumper.
5. Done, I do suggest the use of Liguid nail or some type of adhesive to the threads on the back side of the plug so the threads don't have a chance to loosen.

There are more in depth instructions with pictures,(do a search on this site) the only difference is plug was installed in the plastic shroud not the bumper.:cool2:

I back into my garage so I put mine under the back bumper, it is a MACK truck plug in, I ran a 12 gauge extention cord to it. it is to the right of the right aux. back-up light.
