Cognito!! I can't see how a guy would need more when running their braces and rods. I put both on my truck for about the cost of just those rods. They do look cool though!!!

These guys (Blitzkreig) have been around for awhile, but whether their Tie Rods are worth $525.00, I don't think so, but for that kind of money you could buy 2 sets of the Fabtech's or Cognito's and they are both rebuildable plus, IMO plenty strong enough for 99% of the trucks out there.

FABTECH TOLD ME THEY ARE REBUILDABLE WHEN I BOUGHT THEM 2.5 YEARS AGO; NOW THEY TELL ME THAT ITS BULLSH!T AND TO BUY IT ALL NEW; BECAUSE I HAVE A LITTLE WEAR IN ONE OF MY INNER TIERODS. ALSO I WOULD NOT GET HEIM JOINT TIERODS IF YOU LIVE IN THE MIDWEST OR NORTH, THE SALT WOULD EAT THOSE PRETTY BAD IN A SHORT TIME. BUY THE COGNITO INNER AND OUTER TIERODS- GOOD PRICE ON THEM COMPARED TO THE FABTECH ONES.

Fabtech told me the same thing as well and I agree about the Heims, but I've had my Fabtechs for almost 4 years now and no problems, also the Fabtechs and Cognito's are similarly priced and to me, they don't look much different from each other. Either one will work well.

I've had cognito's on a previous truck and run cognito's on my current truck. I never had any problems and they have held up great. I just hear a lot about about cognito and fabtech on this site and when i saw how HUGE these things were i just had to post them. .

one other fellow ran them on his truck and after 25,000 miles the heims wore out and you coule here them clack eveytime you turned (when wore out). they are big and would be best suited on a desert race truck, otherwise teh cognitos and fabtechs work just as good.

IMO, you're still limited by whatever size thread the heims use. And why did they decide to weld the ends on instead of making it solid and tapping it?

The heim joints will last forever! Those things are monsters! Very Beefy.

Definitely agree with that, it doesn't matter how big they are, if the joints are not protected or greased they wouldn't last long in a salt or cold environment.

They look like they are all stainless steel. I doubt they would pit or corrode, although they would probably discolor a little.

I would not put heims on my daily driver for steering as they will wear and get eaten up. They are strong but they also wear out. I would get the cognitos every time. I don't see a problem with the design on the setup its just not my thing.

be carefull hiems dont like alot of dust/dirt, no boots to keep junk out and lube in. if you like high maintence parts go for it. they need to be cleaned and lubed regulary. daily driver on "clean" roads - once a week. sand dunes - as soon as you get home. snow country - dont do it.

Its not likely that they are stainless. Its not a problem of the metal corroding as much as a problem with the teflon/bushing that would wear out in a hurry on a daily driver. There is nothing wrong with a weld on adapter. I too vote no for heims on a daily driver.

I had a set of those heim tie rods. They wore out within 5k! Just a little slop from each of the four joints adds up to a lot of play. Front wheels will be toed out on the road. Don't waste your time or money. I've had the big Cognito's on for about 15k now and they are good as new.

I used heims on my drag link. Teflon chromoly stainless NASA titanium transformer chuck norris ironman ones. I was going to set up a tierod with heims, are they really that bad? I was just assuming the teflon chromoly stainless transformer chuck norris ironman ones would hold up to crap.
