i was just at a local truck store and saw that they had a magnaflow exhaust and would install it. i was going to order the mbrp exhaust and put it on but it would be simpler to just go down to the store and get it or have them put it on. is the magnaflow just as good as the mbrp?

I don't know about the mbrp, but I got the magnaflow wide open muffler put on my truck. It's sounds like a big block gasser when it's opened up. Deep sweet sound to it. :ro) I wanted to go straight pipe but at the same time I didn't want to sound obnoxious.
Here's the magnaflow site where you can hear their exhaust.

I also just installed Magnaflow 4" exhaust.
Sounds real nice.
Start to finish install time about 20 mins.
Stock one comes off in one piece 4 bolts and 5 hangers
new on goes on with same 4 bolts and hangers but comes in 4/5 pieces

I installed the magnaflow, and it did only take about 20 minutes! But you do need a hoist to do in that time!
I have an extended cab, short box, and wouldn't want it any louder, a friend of mine has a crew cab, long box, and the noise in the cab isn't near as loud!
When I go to pull the travel trailer, I will be putting the stock exhaust back on!
