I’m looking into both units and cannot decide which way to go. Banks is about $300.00 more than Edge for their PDA in cab controller. Is it worth the extra money or are you paying extra because it has “Banks” on it?

At first, Banks was disappointing. Now, I guess it's starting to grow on me. I personally would rather get the Predator and be done with it!

I prefer the Banks because it adds power later in the power band making for a more "drivable" tuner on higher settings (smoother) and it gradually adds power during warm-up while Edge waits till 165 F before adding any power, many have complained about Edge warm-up. Track times show a little better for Edge so if thats what you want go with Edge. I think when Edge releases the A2 it will be about the same price as Banks PDA when purchased as combos. Each has advantages over the other as far as the displays go. A2 will have GPS and B/U camera abilities while Banks PDA will read and clear codes plus unlimited uses with the Windows based software, both will have virtual gages and other engine monitoring abilities.

banks is to me the better tuner just seems smoother in the top settings, the attitude is what makes the edge. i have never seen the pda, but you can not lose either way..... unless your in the banks/edge truck racing the banks/edge truck! 4 more days till test and tune allthough i am starting to lose interest in comparing the two tuners when i have enough to do all ready

So, now that you've got a clear answer, when are you ordering?

As soon as I can convince my wife that it is "necessity" for the truck to warrant the expense. Either that or talk about all the time until she tells me to get it so I will shut up. Either way I should have it soon. Thanks for the insight.

Ok so what do you gain by having both the edge and Predator together. A friend of mine has an 04 with the Edge and he goes into limp mode on setting 5. My 05 is still stock and since im new to this whole diesel thing i need to pick your brains some. Oh and whats a finger stick.
