Hello all, a write up in my local newspaper brought this device to my attention, apparantly the guy that invented it is from Montana. Does anyone here have any personal experience using it? The link below is to their site in case you don't know what i am talking about. I had never heard of it before but some folks around here are saying it is a great contraption. Do you think it would replace the "tuna can" on a 6.5?

If you are using these let me know your results, if not let me know what you think about it. I found it interesting and would like to know more, but I wonder if it will actually do anything. Especially since a diesel our size requires 2 of them be purchased and installed.

Looks like bull**** to me, but if it makes you sleep better at night knock yourself out. As a scientist, testimonials fail miserably as proof-of-concept. I am also suspicious of statements like "Pricing may change dramatically in the near future as production costs adjust. Buy now for a low price". Nothing but old-fashioned snake oil.

Here is a link to a similar discussion on a Mercedes forum about acetone in fuel increasing mileage:

What a BS? A 460 Ford 4x4 gets suddenly 20 MPG (more than 100 % improvement) with a plastic container added to the PCV? IMHO not even worth to think about, but to each his own.

Yeah, I'm highly skeptical. But I am curious!

The silica gel will rapidly saturate with water (if it even came dry from the factory) and then do nothing except sit there as little beads.

Expect no economy improvement over a car with a PCV system.

It might separate a little oil and liquid water mist-suspended in the PCV gasses and keep it out of the intake manifold...but then you have to empty it.

Cars have not had open crankcases since the 60's.

Total BS.
