I am putting a serpentine setup on a military motor (not sure if it is a 6.2 or 6.5). I have the alternator/ps pump bracket on, the water pump on and am about to mount the vacuum pump. However, the serpentine parts I have came from a non-AC truck and the vacuump pump seems to sit up really high. Is the vacuum pump setup the same with or without AC? I want this engine to have AC. BTW, I need the AC bracket. I plan to put this engine in a S10. I guess the AC box might be a problem but I plan tohttp://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r12/914turboford/625VcmPmp.jpg cross that bridge when I come to it.

In 95 there was no dummy pully for a\c. I think it had a diffrent belt. If you dont know if it a 6.2 or 6.5 do you know if it has a serp water pump or a v belt pump? 1 turns clockwise the other counter clock wise. Might be easier to check before you stuff that in an s-10.

There was a V belt water pump on it, but I replaced it with a serpentine pump. Now what about the vacuum pump? Is it different if you have AC?

yes from the pic i see it looks like the old 95 shop truck we had with out a\c. which is diffrent than my 95. The vac pump sits lower and than the a\c is above.
Are you going to do dual t stats? that tensioner braket ill hit.
