I have it plugged in to my 06 lbz, and my question is this. when i use the gauge function to display intake air temp the gauge reads about 25 degrees higher than the outside air. the outside temp is 10-20 degrees and the gauge usually 25 degrees higher than that. is that normal? do the intakes have a heating element that stays on when it gets too cold outside? just trying to figure this thing out, thanks.

No that sounds normal
At a highway cruise the temp will be with in a few degrees of ambient on a Hot Day the Intake air temp can be 50-100 degress hotter than ambient. The underhood heat warms the intake Air and when the truck is sitting the air is heat soaked and warmed even more

I think the IAT is after the heater grid, I have noticed when starting in the morning the IAT temps will instantly be 10-20 degrees more than ambient.
