My warranty ends 4/29/09 and I have nearly 100k on it. My truck has been salvaged and I'm wondering if GM will still honor the warranty on my injectors before that date? It is a theft recovery so it had very minimal damage and none of the damage could have effected the motor in any way.

Going through this same thing right now with a car with a salvage title. GM will not cover the bill... Atleast for me right now.

Same deal on my 03. The bed and cab corner got hit. No frame damage,no other damage ahead of the rear doors except a couple dings that look to have come from poor driving skills of the PO :rolleyes:. It's fixed and still only has 87K. Be nice to have the injector warranty at a minimum.

That is correct.Slavage title=No Warranty.

Just to be clear, I believe that this applies to all of the manufacturers, not just GM. And by the way, my truck also has a salvage title, and it showed up in GMVis, within 6 weeks of the title being issued.

Having said that, mine also has over 200K miles. Yes I just did my own injectors.

I work for a harley davidson dealer in southern nevada as a service advisor and hd will warranty repairs on salvaged bikes.

No factory warranty of any kind with that title.

So now I have an appointment to take it in to have them replaced under the 7yr/200,000mi warranty and I gave them my vin and mileage over the phone, they checked the vin and said that it is covered under warranty if it is in fact the injectors that need to be replaced so it sounds like I'm all set to have them changed under warranty when I take it in. Will they possibly check the vin in something like carfax as well to see if its salvaged? I'm not sure how it works and I'm just looking for a heads up. Also will my gauges, intake and exhaust be fine on there without voiding the injector warranty? I'm planning on unhooking the methanol injection and dsp2 switch.
