Many of you have your CATs removed, and there are many techs here. Is there any problem getting warranty service with it off???

Or do they VOID the Warranty with it removed?

Depends on your dealer. Some don't care and some are completely anal about modifying the factory setup. They can only void the warranty if the removal of the CAT actually caused the failure. Of course that can be an uphill battle.

Removing the cat does not give you that much benefit, I was told by banks, when they did mine, maybe 3%. But, the down side of the warranty , and trust me if they want to void an engine repair they can and will, then it’s your job to prove otherwise, which is expensive to prove, and time consuming if your truck is down.
The other downside is Federal emissions, the fine will kill you.
I don’t want to sound like I’m wearing a skirt here, but I’ve been through two issues with dealers and lawyers AND IT AINT PURTY.

i bought the mbrp exhaust system w/ the down pipe .i removed the cat setup ,bolts up real sweet to the exsisting mbrp exhaust. if i bring the truck in for warr. repair ,all ihave to do is remove the down pipe and reinstall the cat (takes abouthalf hour)

I did it for the increased turbo whistle, lower exhaust gas temperatures, and a little bit quicker spool time, not for the extra power
