Or do they VOID the Warranty with it removed? lakingslayer 03-29-2005, 09:52 AM Depends on your dealer. Some don't care and some are completely anal about modifying the factory setup. They can only void the warranty if the removal of the CAT actually caused the failure. Of course that can be an uphill battle. But, the down side of the warranty , and trust me if they want to void an engine repair they can and will, then it’s your job to prove otherwise, which is expensive to prove, and time consuming if your truck is down. The other downside is Federal emissions, the fine will kill you.
