Damn! I bought my new '08 on December 1st and they gave me $7500 manufacturer discount on the dealer's already discounted-from-MSRP price. my truck was stickered at $54,700+ and I got it for $42,000. I think I could have done better now. But I went to one of the higher volume dealers in SoCal and they only had three 3500 CC Duallies. Two were LT's and mine was the only LTZ. I asked about a deler trade for a Victory Red or a Black one and they couldn't/wouldn't (don't entirely know which) do it. Got get 'em while the gettign is good...IF you've been waiting.

I think you're right. The '08'swill be running out soon and I don't know if quite as good of deals will be made on the '09's. I love my truck but am kinda kicking myself for:
1. Not driving a harder bargain
2. Not buying a Victory Red one. DOH!

If anybody wants a 09 GMC ,Desert Pont/GMC in Henderson ,NV has one $55 list $51 red tag ,their dreaming on the $51 it's been sitting in the same spot since early Nov. Its white and totally loaded.

I think everyone is hoping that GM well stay afloat and not go bankrupt. But it does sound like they are selling some trucks with the deals that they are giving right now. Just wish I would have waited to trade.

There are some good deals out there. I just purchased a 2008 Chevy 3500HD Dually for 40,000. that includes tax, title, plates, The MSRP was 54K, The 2009 only had 4K cash back instead of 10k. Also comes with 500.00 gift card. I was looking for a GMC but they were gone. This is the scenario in central Illinois. Cash back 0f 10K ends Jan 5th or 6th.
