my friend has a pioneer double din radio in his 05 sierra and i want the same one he's got just with navigation wondering if anyone has put a double din in ealry body 99-02 body style...i don't have dual climate controls in my truck any insight would be great

it requires changing over to an 03 up bezel moving the hvac controls down and some cutting work. myself id just get a flip out. its alot of hacking.

damn i had a feeling thats what i was gonna have to do...i guess it depends on how much i want a double din i guess i hate hacking things

well after your done it looks like an 03 up besides the hvac has different knobs

but you have to cut alot and fab up brackets in the radio arear and the hvac area

yea thats what my one friend had to do in his 98 chevy was hack some of the dash and wiring to get his deck to fit

the wiring would be fine on your 01 and is much easier to deal with

i'll probably talk to guy i know with audio shop see if hes done it and what he thinks i don't really like flip out monitors thats why i want double din
