Over at Page site there is a running test, IMO from what I read there too early to say that design is a qualified success, at 1 point was a 50/50 susccess rate, supposed to be getting better; & from what I hear vendor is standing by the product PM Kennedy I think he was selling those at one point could give you current status on them. 7yr warranty from Heath is better IMO but it does use the original style FSD

I think that in time, it will be THE choice, but until we see it run through the southern heat and a full year...

I second that opinion.:exactly:

It would seem to me that the SOL-D would want to have a warranty that is longer than Heath's 7 year offered on the original Stanadyne FSD mounted on his cooler. I realize I went to school in Nevada, but 5 years is less than 7 years!

If it is THE solution for FSD problems, offer a lifetime warranty! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/exactly.gif

I agree. I would not mind a battle between the suppliers on warranty. However, I don't think that will happen, as the failure rate is pretty well known and the opportunity cost of lost sales due to warranty duration would most likely be less than the risk (cost) of honoring a lifetime warranty.
