: Tunes with purchase ?

Hey guys, been out of the loop for a while, but finally getting around to tuning my 06 LBZ.

Back when I bought my V2 upgrade, most of the guys weren't offering the free tunes for the LBZ with the purchase of the V2 upgrade so I made the unpardonable mistake of buying my upgrade from a non-DP vendor :(

Anyway, now that I am about to start tuning, I am going to be buying an replacement ECM to put the tunes in to. I wanted to ask here if any of the vendors would be willing to offer to include some tunes with the purchase of an ECM (since I already have the V2, I don't need another one).

Feel free to post in this thread (as there may be others interested in this as well) or contact me via email or pm if you are a vendor and would like to make this available to me.

Thanks

Tim

Nick @ duramaxtuner.com is a vendor on here and has a library of different things I've heard.
I've never been in there, but, I always here great praise on his tunes.

Yeah, lots of good things said about some of the vendors tunes and if I was upgrading to V2 today I would definitely buy from the vendors and get the tunes. Unfortunately at the time I upgraded to V2 the vendors weren't providing that as incentive and the tutorial videos hadn't been locked down yet. Market's changed a lot in the last two years.

Tim,

What kind of tune are you looking for? I could supply you with a core ECM and tune if you'd like.

Give me a jingle on Monday if this sounds like something that interests you,

Really only interested in tunes that would be suitable for a stock alli at the present time. My truck is bone stock except for a set of H2's and I will be keeping it mostly that way until the warranty is up (3 more years). I tow extremely rarely, really it is just a dd with something occasionally in the bed.

I'm mostly interested in better mpg, but I wouldn't mind a little extra power as long as it doesn't hurt the tranny or send me down the path of engine problems that would cause the gm techs to think about a boosted truck.

I don't really have a lot of $$ to spend on the truck with the holidays and all, but I will be doing some tuning as soon as I can scrape up the $$ for a core ECM (no way am I going to roll in to a stealership with a modded ecm based on what GM is now doing). I wish now that I had just put off upgrading to the V2 version until now and I would have gotten a couple of the tow tunes with it.

In an LBZ, you shouldn't have anything to worry about ECM wise. This this thread for more details.

I have the ECM if you'd still like one for backup or to hedge against the off-chance the EFILive folks missed a spot.

Either way, I have some smooth 6sp friendly tunes.:)

Great, I didn't see that thread. Seems like a good idea to keep a spare ECM in the toolbox anyway, in case I am traveling and would need to take it in to the dealer without being able to reflash. I'll pm you for more information on tunes and ECM's

Thanks

I was wondering if you still offered preprogrammed ECM's. I must have missed them browsing the site yesterday.
