Wow, I almost caught my truck on fire and I am completely exhausted and I didnt even get the turbo out. what a job. I still have the right and left exhaust pipe to come off. 12mm...man they are tight. Used the torch already for the Exhaust downpipe bolts 12mm and 14mm nuts. And burned a hold in the downpipe..ok so i dont need it. I am afraid of burning a hole in my left and right exhaust pipe (the ones that lead to the headers (exhaust manifold)...Any tips would be well appreciated.

most of them can be accesed from the passenger side fenderwell, use some penetrating oil, let it soak, and get a good cheater bar

It is honestly 1000 times easier with out the tranny in there. Maybe more like 1000000 times, I dont know I didnt have a calculator when I was doing mine.

If you prefer not dropping the tranny, then like what delong said, a cheater bar is your best friend here and you should let your bolts soak over night and spray them like 5 times. THEY ARE TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!!!!

A ratchet that has a pivot head on it helps alot

ok what you need to do is remove the passenger wheel liner, take the down pipe off, and stick a long breaker bar in and giver hell. the uppipe bolts are a real bitch.

How tight are you expected to get them when you re-assemble?

i dunno why you are using a torch??? x2 on needing a cheeter bar. or you could just use a bunch of extensions like i did with a piece of 4' pipe :)

the flex head 12 pt. 12mm wobbles too much and kept hitting the fire wall. patience. after a few hours of cussing, bruises and headaches.....it will come out haha

I was able to use a mess of extensions with a ratchet and cheater bar..after lowering the tranny (crossmember)...I appreciate your advice guys keep it up...

I am taking out the tranny...I might as well with all the room for the bellhousing bolts..Transgo here i come...now the torque converter bolts:(

I am getting ready to do my turbo and I have access to a lift should I just pull the tranny rather than screwing with it for 3 days

My turbo is also coming off in 2 weeks. How strong are these bolts? Is there a risk of breaking them off?

pb blaster the living hell out of those bolts.... i highly doubt you would break those bolts. just got to make a big ass cheater bar to break them loose. if u take the tranny out it will be a lot easier
