Are all your shift indicator lights working? Either a line under the PRND321 or it's highlighted on MY's '01-'02.

It's a 2005 just picked it up on march 3, 05. Yeah it showed all indicator lights as I went from reverse to drive to 1st and nothing then it would let the motor run to 2000 rpm and that was it. Let it sit for a while and would go to 3rd gear, but would no shift. Barely touch throttle and would got limp. Don't know damn good truck though, just frustrating.

No I was so confused on what the heck was going on all I saw was that statement shift pattern not allowed. I was basically trying to get it offf the road and back to my office trailor. I was being to creative saying @#@#!!@#@$ going on here to all my riders. Sorry not being much help, but do appreciate your feedback.

I know how frustrating it can be. You lay down a mint to buy a truck and already its got a problem. I'm sure it's just minor though. After you get through this hurdle you'll be back to having that sh!t eating grin back on your face.

Are you sure it didn't say Shift range inhibited or something along those lines? Also where is the truck now?

It is at a dealership just south of chicago and about 65 miles from my house, so that kinda stinks, but my jobsite is only 2 miles away so i can check on it regularly tomorrow. I don't believe i hit anything started and away we went, worst part 2 ford guys were riding with me. You can only imagine the s--t I was taking all afternoon. can't wait for that grin either. thanks again

Water does not just get into the NSBU could have gotten into one of the speed sensors or case plug.

no water, just don't know drove over hundred miles at about 65 mph. then the truck sat for a couple of hours while i was sitting in meetings. Got in the ole boy and he just didn't want to go. Oh well if they were perfect dealerships wouldn't need warranties would they. It'll be alright as long as they don't have a stupid attack on me.

Truck posted codes 700,732,733,and 776. Any help i'm going to search around.

Code 732 and 733 are gear ratio errors in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Thats a slip, not a good sign. Code 776 is trim solenoid B stuck off code. That B trim solenoid is a pressure solenoid and could be bad, and could cause the gear ratio codes. The 776 code is what I would go after first, not the other 2.
