have a 4" lift on my truck right now and using the stock rims for winter with 285 75 16 bfg mt's. their getting worn down and were always terrible on ice so im gonna go with a set of bfg at's. thinking about stepping up to the 295 75 16's. their a bit taller and would fill out the wheel wells better, just wanna know how that size works with stock rims and if they look too buldgy or anything? pics would be awesome if anyone has any. thanks!

They should work just fine, need to watch tire pressures and keep them balanced. The 295 will not be that much bigger than a 285 so I would say that it would work..

that 295 will probably suck on the ice to. have you given any thought to teh 255/85/16. same height but thinner. will be better in winter.

i had that size on my old truck and the tires bulged considerably. i ended up getting wheels and it looked alot better. they are about a 1/2 inch taller.

would probably work but would bulge out a lot that tire size would work better with wider wheel. And i have the bfg at's and i have had no problem on snow or ice

Had a set on my 05 CC check garage for pics. Only had them on for summer and sold the truck before the snow fell.
I had the 305's on my truck with the stock rims, they bulged a bit, but never had a problem with them. If these are for winter tires I would take the 255/85 like mentioned above, same height just thinner, they won't float as much on the snow. I have 285's now and wish I had my stock tires back for winter.

Thats what I was about to say. Don't have them, but have hurd. With a little wider wheel you will get a lot better tread wear

I had BFG AT's on one of my Fords (315's). They are a GREAT winter tire. So is the Bridgestone REVO.
