When I purchased my LMM I installed the six gun with pda, brute force intake, MBRP filter back and was happy but wanted LLY like performance and mileage. Also the six gun would produce codes sometimes at full/heavy throttle. I finally went turbo back and used th quad2/insight with great results. The quad2 has such a smooth and usable tune. Milleage average has gone from 14.4 to 16+. I do alot of towing and this really is the "secret" to these trucks. Quad2 has not set any codes at all.

Welcome to the club. I wouldn't put anything else on an LMM.

My dealer/service rep even says if I have any warranty issues with drivetrain to place factory exhaust sytem back on, remove tuner and things will be fine unless there is real abuse.

What level are you running your Quad on when you tow? What kind weight with that tune?

I have been towing on 50 HP and never come close to 1300 deg. I don't toe heavy though-maybe 4500LBS. on kinda flat terraine. get about 14.5 MPG hand calc.when toeing. about 18.5 empty.

I am a roofing contractor and tow alot of weight. When I have a heavy load6-10,000 I keep the 50hp tune. If the truck is loaded and no trailer I leave it set at 70-90hp. The egt's are lower than banks and edge. It makes almost no smoke and the power is very smooth. No lag between shifts, defueling is basically not noticeable.

Thanks guys for the info! I have been using the economy and stock tune for towing. I usually tow anywhere from 5k-8k. I will give 50hp a try:cool:
