I have been told that the computor modual for the Allison tranny is an internal item and that if it goes out then its a major fix. Does anyone have any knowledge about this?

The modual is out side of the transmission like a engine modual. It can be changed without touching the transmission itself.

Takes 5 minutes tops. Now the computer itself if it dies aint cheap but people have scored em for reasonable off Ebay and then you can get it rezaped to your truck if need be.
