Do all duramax trucks have a plug in for a block heater? if so where do i find it?? and dont say under the hood:D haven't really looked yet

your truck might not have it, CA truck? dont need it there... If it does what above guy said, battery/under intake area.

It will be folded up and zip-tied to the same wire loom that houses the cables coming off the passenger side battery...so follow that down.

Sweet thanks for the info guys, May not be Canada but its going to be around 20 degree's tom morn and that's pretty cold for sf bay area. and it started its life as a nevada truck :p: lol

Hey Hey, watch it! Where I live it's much warmer then alot of places in the USA. Our winters are pretty much the same as yours. Just depends where you live. And, BTW we don't live in igloos. Just incase you were wondering.:D:D

just to let you know, you dont need the block heater for 20*.

My truck has started with no issues at zero degrees (or less) over the last week, not plugged into a block heater. Don't even bother for 20 degrees

I know i know, not a matter of need. just like the fact that i dont have to let my truck warm up as long in the morning:ro)


just to let you know, you dont need the block heater for 20*.

its under the pass side coolant box thats where mine is. with zip ties.
