What is the vin designation diference between a crew cabsb in 2006 and a ext cab Sb in 2006

Look at the 7th character. If it's a 9, its an extended cab. If it's a 3, its a crew cab. The VIN won't tell you if its a short or long bed with just the numbers. But if you look on the door panel, there's a number like CK25753.

The CK means Chevy 4x4, TK means GMC 4x4. The first number is either 2 or 3 for 3/4 ton or 1 ton. The next two numbers, "57" in mine, mean short bed (6' 6"). A "59" indicates long bed. The last two numbers indicate the cab type, with a "43" being crew cab, and "53" being extended cab.

A 2006 CCSB will be CK25743, and an ECSB will be CK25753.
