Well i tore the posi out of my 05 with only a ppe standard, now is time to start looking at either swapping out rear posi or swap out the whole rear with something better and much stronger before i add more power and can,t do anything with it. Does any one have ideas on what route to go with

First, you didn't have a Posi, you had a locker. May I suggest a Posi this time?? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=215355&highlight=differential

What all does it take to put a Chrysler unit in our truck. Is it a stock setup and what are the benefits. Im bout ready to throw my G80 in the pond.

In my eyes a g-80 is no locker! Try running a detriot locker or an arb, those are real lockers not that pos that gm calls a locker. My truck don,t make squat for power and already tore out a g-80? stock tranny and only set ppe on level 3. Wish i could get either of the real lockers mentioned above because both are proven in my 89 bronco with a nasty bbf and 39" tires that makes way more power than the duramax has now and thanks to tony for the reply

I talked to ARB at the SEMA show this year and they indicated that the 11.5 unit should be out sometime late spring this year. There's always some variability with them since they won't turn anything loose till it's all the way done but I guess since the technology to build the carrier properly has been proven by the rockwell locker, they're moving along on it.

I tore mine up and a really good referral told me to call Tony, Now i have the true trac and you can tell a big difference! You can really feel the power to the ground. It is a very stout unit.

The True Track is not a true locker it is a limited slip. Track tech who manufactures the unit also makes the Detroit Locker which is a true locker. Does anyone know if an Elocker or Detroit is made for an '06 Silverado 2500 HD?
