I put in a pair of Cadillac CTS seats in the front and moved the two others to the back. I paid $600 for the seats (ebay) and spent some time to convert the CTS seats electric over to a standard install. Not too hard, just time consuming. I got another pair of the seat bases from Suburban Seats made for the Kodiak for about $350 or so. Put in the plumbing for the rears and away you go. I thought the front seats sucked. They were not comfortable nor adjustable like any modern seat. National Seats has the air valves.

I'll get some pics of both and post them asap. Holiday stuff slowing me down from having fun with the truck. :)

Here they are. The first one is the old seats that I am moving to the rear. I'm putting in a center console with a electric fridge that pulls out and the box will have the 2-10" subwoofers in it. On the top will be a few cup holders and a flat desk/table top for the kids. The only thing left is to have a skirt made like the old ones to cover up the base. Like I said the big thing was converting the drivers side from the computer control over to using some relays. Not hard but took some time, kind of fun though. I have the wire diagram if anybody wanted to tackle it as a project.

I have an 05 and the crappy seats in mine are probably the same as yours. I fount that there is a screw (self drilling) in the seat frame that if you remove it it will allow you to recline a couple of inches. You are right about the room and you will pretty much have to wear your seatbelt (which you should do anyway) as it will rub on your shoulder with the seat all the way back and reclined.
