What all is needed to install a GT4088 if I had the turbo only? Never been very understanding of the turbo stuff, would i need a different pedestal, intake, downpipe? Thanks for any info.

Thanks a lot Chad. Is the 4088 really going to be worth the money, Ive heard some say its not enough of a gain over stock to be worth it. If Im going to be spending that much money anyways I'd like to get something thats going to be worth it?

The 4088 will probably spool up quicker for you at altitude and be an all around good charger for you. Guys at Sea level are pushing around 550 rwhp and mid 12 sec 1/4 mile times.

Thats right about what my goals are like to keep it around 550rwhp hopefully prolonging an engine build. Never even thought about the altitude, i imagine a large single would take some spooling at these altitudes (7220 here in laramie)

Whats the difference between the 4088 and the 4088R

40/88 is journal bering, 40/88R is ball bearing. The "R" ball bearing chargers spool quicker and use less energy to drive them. They are also more stable at higher boost/thrust loads.

yeah i try to get down there as much as i can...why do you ask?

I used to spend a lot of time down there raising cane with all ricers and "off brand" diesels :eek: . Had many fun nights down there but too many cops anymore

It will support up to 620 hp with 2CP3's and good tuning, seems most make around 550 rwhp with 1 CP3.

x2.....i picked up about 50 hp and 1/2 second

great all around charger....im about to install a set of rick lance's up pipes and will see how it improves the charger
