I am new to this diesel thing, just bought a new lly. i want it to smoke up an intersection with ease. any ideas? looked at al kind of tuners, but dont want to do anything that will hurt the truck . if i cut off te muffler and put a bigger downpipe on it, will that help. what kind of codes will it throw? some help would be greatly appreciated.

Stomp it. You will get exaust and probably tire smoke. But why?

might as well get a tuner. the predator smokes at the 65, 85 and 100 HP settings when you stomp the pedal. the 65 hp and 85 hp setting whoudl not hurt the tranny unless you drive it real hard. the 40 and 65 hp settings are more of the safest, in regards to harm to the tranny or truck. the 100 hp setting smokes pretty good when you get on the pedal.
