I have read info on the sticks and they seem to be a great idea if you are installing an exhausst (Like I did, and my check engine light is on) but I can't seem to find info on the EGR. What purpose does blocking the EGR do and what should you expect from doing it ?

Sorry I ama a Neb. and was rading but couldn't find anything on what it does or how to do it.

You don't have to block te EGR to use the Stick to get rid of the codes when installing a larger exhaust. HOWEVER, if you poke around here a little, you will find a thread with pictures of the intake when the EGR is open and functioning. That may change your mind about the blocking the EGR.

But what is the purpose of installing a block off plate ? and will the finger stick cure the codes from both ? And how much will they cost

Grab a 6-pack and do a search on EGR for the answer.
