After reading previous threads on wheel spacers, I'm a little scared to run them. The best recommended I've found was Fred's wheel spacers at www.wheeladapter.com What I'm wondering is should they be selected as hub-centric or wheel-centric for $20 extra. And why are they only 1/4" thick?? For the money and appearance, that will hardly move the tire/wheel out.

Try holding 10lbs out in front of you with your arm bent, then try with it stright. IMO it's not worth the wear and tear to put them on. My last truck zr2-s-10 had them on and I was replacing ball joints, and bearings every other month, it looked great but not worth it anymore IMO.

Not sure if the spacers were the cause but I had the inner go bad once and the outer go bad 3 times on my zr2-s-10 all within 40,000 miles. I would think the back is a lot easier on things than the front...

Fred's is the place to get em. He knows what he's doing. Just remember to torque them properly and you should be fine.

Just an honest question.............whats the differance in have a +offset wheel and put 2" spacers on them, or having a -offsett wheel with no spacer?? Either way the wheel and tire hang out farther past the fender. AND if you have a -offset, the bolts would be farther away from the outside of the wheel creating more leverage to having spacers which move the bolts out as well.
