I have a brand new set of Alcoha Hot Shot wheels for my dually. They are polished and I was thinking about getting them powder coating with the clear coat so I dont have to polish them anymore and this way I can just wash them off. Is it worth spending the money or am I wasting my time. Any ideas? Also any other suggerstions becuase I dont want to polish them every month. Thanks for the help.

I spray mine with Eagle Etching Wheel Cleaner. It is a phosphoric acid. It cleans them right up but it takes some of the shine away is the only downside. I've used it on a lot of aluminum stuff.

I think it's worth it because there is nothing like a set of wash and wear wheels. The only thing about having a polished wheel clear coated is it's not quite as shiny as it would be if it wasn't clear coated but it will still look good. If you're going to do this the best time is when the wheels are new.
