It's just the radio fuse. I've done it both ways, never had a problem.

i am rocking a 05 LLY. so just pull the radio and "info" fuse? Or skip that step. I want to rock this thing now! Also can I run it in 3 right away or should I work it up to that level for the tranny to learn. I baby my truck and the last thing want is to hurt my baby!

Just the fuses under the hood and in the console on drivers side. Think there are about 4 or 5 that should be removed for install purposes.

I always just removed the info and radio fuses from underneath the hood fuse box. The one time I didn't, the PPE locked up on me.

When i had my ppehot+2e.t. I never pulled the fuses either as it seemed like a pain i the but. Never had any issues doing it that way, only issue you'll have will be spending money on tires.

I've never Pulled the Fuses either.

Just turned Off the Radio, turned Off the Air, Shut the Doors. Basically minimize every Power Draw you can with the Truck being Ran only in Acc.

the 06 LLY and the 06 LBZ are the same setup. when you get parts for the 06 duramax. there just differant horse power rating. there is a ppe hot +2 tuner out there that will work with the LB7, LLY, and the LBZ i know i have one. it will not work with the LMM duramax.

pretty much the samething just computers are differant and some others things. but just look for one that can be used for all duramax LB7,LLY and the LBZ. it will make you happier if you decide to sell later on.

Correct the only difference is that the LBZ have a little more tweaking done from the factory to the ECM which gives them a little more horse power and torque but other than that the engines are the same for the most part except for the bottom end correct me if I'm wrong but after studying thats the only difference in the two I've concluded.

you might be correct im not sure but i thought only the OEM tune was differnet... so whats different in the bottom ends between the two engines?

if i remeber right i think the only difference is the pistons are bigger for bigger bore. plus the ECM has some more tweaking. its funny that there the same motor but more horse power from ECM. but if we put more power to it, they void the warrenty like they did to me for a EGT gauge and a boost. but the new one LMM has a EGT gauge in them.

not tryin to be a dick but your wrong about the that, the cylinder bore is the exact same

didn't know about that. i knew the ECM was different but i didnt know that the piston were the same.

egt probes are back with the DPF. They serve a different purpose then what others use them for.
