Could be 409SS......... 409SS is MAGNETIC and will rust/tarnish over time.

It is not pure stainless. Must be an alloy. Mine fit so good and is real light. I will trust banks, they have been doing exaust systems for a long time. No complaints here other than it is to quiet. Den.

If you don't want it you could sell it to me!!! I live near Houston to the South.

Let me know. I'm serious.

the05hd,

It is stainless, all of the Banks products are 409 stainless and it is a magnetic type of stainless. If you want non magnetic that will last forever you'll need to get 304 stainless as it has a large content of chromium and nickel (hence the cost difference) and will not rust etc. Call us if you have any questions etc.
