Looking for a good pair of mud flaps. Don't really like the factory ones..any recomendations.
Do these cause any issues with trapping sand/salt and causing body damage??

Good timing. I am looking as well since my new wheels and tires will be here this week!

I have used both the factory flaps and the Husky Liners Flaps. The factory flaps don't intrude as much into the front wheel wells as do the Huskys. The Huskys IMHO are better for the fact that they are larger and very easy to install. You may have to trim them if you are running a 285 tire. If not , you're golden...

Do a search on mud flaps and you will find a worth of information.

I like my Dura Flaps because the owner made them the way I wanted them. A little longer.

Dura Flaps are the shiznits!

(That means great, I think!)

Thankful

Cloudriders. They are very sweet they have the stainless on them and are long an wide so your truck won't get chipped, but they are expensive. $300 cnd for 4

Coyotekid .... Do you have the drill-less model of the Duraflaps?

I am thinking of getting a set but am having a hard time finding a Chevy truck that has them installed. I was hoping you could post a picture of your truck with the flaps.

Thanks.

Other shoppers ... I think someone posted a note a while ago saying Duraflap will give a discount to members of this site. YOu might want to ask.

Threre are some other postings saying that the hard plastic flaps that wrap around the fender will rub off the paint over time.

BH in AZ,

I do have the drill-less version all the way around. I don't have a digital camera, so I'll have to see if I can get some pics one way or another.

I definitely like the stainless weights--they look sharp without being gaudy.

I have the duraflaps ...and a pict via link in sig. Mine, however are the bracket style as I bought them before the drill-less were available. Still VERY pleased with the flaps.

Coyotekid ... thanks for the info. It would be great if you can get some pictures.

Tophog ... Sharp looking truck! I am guessing the rear flaps are the 14" wide model rather than the 12" wide???

Yes if you mention to the owner that you are a member of the Diesel Place he will take off 10%.

He will even modify them if you have a specific need. Length, width..........

I'm not sure of the dimensions of my flaps ...I just told Dennis (Owner) I had a truck with 4" lift and he hooked me up. My truck is 2 years old and you'd be hard pressed to find a chip anywhere. The flaps work well.

I just got off the phone with Dennis real nice guy.
Ordered a set of flaps, when I told him that I cranked up the torsion bars to level the truck he said he would add an 1" to the front flaps so they all hang off the ground the same. So if anyone needs a custom flap he can make it.

Also when you get the stainless weights its not just drilled and bolted on. He actually machines the flap so the stainless is recessed in the flap.
