this might sound like a newb question but how is it you can tell if the truck is an 04.5 and has a LLY? tried searching but couldnt see.

im trying to move away from the LB7 before i buy, and the lly sounds somewhat better. what are the differences.

8th digit in the vin if it is a 1 its a lb7 if its a 2 its a lly

which engine is more capable performance wise lb7 or lly. i know there arent that big of differences but there has to be some.

lly has more hp and torque stock...but depends on what tune you want,some guys build the lb7 and others build the lly.....run what you brung!
