They'll rub a little bit. Just crank up your torsion bars until they don't and get an alignment.

Yep they will fit with torsion bars turned up a couple of rounds, trim lower valance at an angle and tie the e-cable back on the drivers side. I installed some chrome door edge molding on the lower valance after trimming and am thinking about changing it to black to give it a factory look Changed rims later to 17" and 285's and everthing stayed the same

I ran 285 bfg muds w no problems, and I never touched my torsion bars. Im currently running 305 wranglers ATS and they rubbed a bit, I had the bars turned 1in, and I have zero problems.

Are they not to wide for the skinny little 6.5" stock rims? Not to much in bulge side walls?

The only 285s that I have seen that really bulge are Buckshot mudders... They looked real bad. Other than that everything else looks real good.

they will fit good on the stockers. i have seen several fit the 285 with no crank or trimming, but if it rubs, a few turns would work. just get an alignment and don't air them up all the way unless you want the centers flattening out from wear.

the only 285's i've found are a 75 series tire
i talked to the dealership tire "guru" who said 285's would work (he sees a lot of them apparently on 2500HDs) with a 70 series tire

anybody know of an E-rated 285/70-16?
