I was pulling a 27 foot snowmobile trailer up a steep ice grade. Wheels were spining alot and the truck just died. It started back up but the ABS light was on. I unloaded the sleds and was able to get the truck and trailer parked so I went for a ride and let the truck sit for 6 or 7 hours. When I started it back up to come home the ABS light was on for a mile or so then went out no other problem. so why did it just die?:help2:
Thankful

and I hope an expert will reply to you also. My guess is the spinning wheels caused the engine RPM's to be excessive and the engine shut down to protect itself.

I was doing every thing I could do to keep egts in check. As far as wheel speed every time they would light up I would let up. It was just strang to be moving along and have it die like that. I dont know if it matters but I do have the preadtor on 45 setting and the edge on one. I have had it set like this for the last 6 months and have pulled alot like this without any problems. Thanks for any help
